OPEN LETTER OF APPRECIATION ON INAUGURAL ANNUAL LECTURE OF THE NWUGA PHYSIOTHERAPY FOUNDATION(NPF) AND BURIAL OF EMERITUS PROFESSOR V.C.B. NWUGA

I write on behalf of the governing Council of the Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy(NSP) to appreciate everyone that supported us and made the Inaugural Annual Lecture of the NPF and burial ceremonies of our late icon, Emeritus Professor V.C.B. Nwuga to be a huge success.

My heart felt appreciation goes to the Vice Chancellor, Provost of College of Health Sciences, Dean of Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences, Head of Department of Medical Rehabilitation, members of staff(academic and nonacademic staff) and Physiotherapy students all of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state. My teachers and elders Professor M.O.B. Olaogun and comrade Faniran roles are immeasurable to the success of the programmes.

The presence of the acting Registrar, immediate past Registrar and Chairman of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists Board of Nigeria showed the unflinching support of our regulatory body to our course. The outstanding support of all the clinical staff of the Physiotherapy Department, Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex at Ile-Ife and Ilesha cannot be quantified. I thank His Excellency, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for his representation through the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health who also doubles as the Acting Commissioner for Heath of the state of Osun.

My indefatigable Chairman of the committee to the Nwuga Physiotherapy Foundation and the Secretary I salute your courage and doggedness. My thanks also go to all the NPF Board of trustees and committee members. My dear Professor Chukuka Nwemeka, I thank you immensely for the highly academic lecture and the inspiration to all of us.

Finally and most important, I thank the almighty God for His infinite mercies.
