Dr.Muoyo Okome. P.T., Ph.D. is one of our revered Nigerian physiotherapist in diaspora who graduated from University of Ibadan, Nigeria. (B.Sc. Physiotherapy) 1977.He served at Murtala Mohammed Hospital, Kano during his National Youth Service Corp year (1977 to 1978). After the NYSC year he worked with the Oyo State Health Government at Ogbomosho Baptist Hospital and also ran the itinerant Physiotherapy service, Ogbomosho in 1978. He was at Ring Road Hospital, Ibadan from 1979 and 1980.

He withdrew his services from Oyo State and transferred to Ife University Teaching Hospital Complex and was posted to serve at both Wesley Hospital, Ilesha and General Hospital, Ilesha from 1980 to 1981 Thereafter he departed for the USA to pursue graduate studies.He graduated with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Long Island University, New York in 1982 and Ph.D (Pathokinesiology) from New York University, New York in 1989. 


He was an adjunct professor teaching Anatomy at Long Island University and currently is a clinician in New York. He is a member and past- Secretary, Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy. He is protem President of Association of Nigerian Physical Therapists, USA. He is set to deliver the 2nd Christopher Ajao titled "EMBRACE DIVERSITY TO FOSTER UNITY, PROGRESS AND VIABILITY IN OUR TIME AND FOR POSTERITY" at the 54th Annual Scientific Conference and General Meeting in Asaba, 2014
