Need for Media Health Experts.

WHY WE NEED MEDIA- HEALTH EXPERT

The chairman, Nigerian Society of Physiotherapy (NSP), Oyo State chapter, Dr. Felix Oyinlola Odusanya, has described the need for media and health practitioners partnership as paramount and germane for the safety lives of the people. 
He made this known while receiving MDV Media /Medicotainment crew on a courtesy visit to the department of Physiotherapy, University College Hospital, yesterday (Wednesday) in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.

In his words, “information is power, the more our society is informed, the better the quality of health they get because we have a situation on ground whereby a lot of people are desperate for good health because of the challenges of the society we have found ourselves”,
“Lifestyle is quite stressful and people have a lot of health challenges now and it is important that the people are enlightened so that they can know the appropriate quarters they can visit when they are faced with any health challenges, so, that is the more reason why we really have to work with media and increase the enlightenment as possible” he added.

Dr. Odusanya further pledged on behalf of NSP Oyo State chapter his total support for the Medicotainment website and committed to the health course of the platform.

In the same vein, the Secretary of NSP Oyo chapter, Dr Olusegun Adejare expressed his appreciation to the crew for the glamorous visit but also gave his advise on the sustainability and how to make the website stand out, adding that “the group needs to update and upgrade from time to time and information to be placed on the website should be virtually authentic so has to bring about trust and not to get people confused and misled” he concluded.

However, the courtesy visit is part of the activities in place for the forthcoming Faysol Oluwakemi Health Care Foundation, FOHCAF Annual Public Health Lecture coming up on the 2nd of October, 2017.
