NSP COAL CITY 2020 CONFERENCE INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT AND CALL FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS max-h-[350px]

The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapy is pleased to announce the schedule and proudly invite you for her 62nd Scientific Conference and 63rd Annual General Meeting which will be held in Enugu, Enugu State from 9th to 15th  October, 2022. The ‘Coal City state’ conference will be hybrid (virtual and physical).

Theme of the Conference:“Physiotherapy in Critical and Emergency Care”.

Sub-theme: 
“Sustaining the Gains of COVID-19 Era for Innovative Physiotherapy Delivery”.

Researchers and other actors are invited to commence submission of abstracts on the above themes or indeed on any other interesting, innovative ortopical issue in Physiotherapy. 

Upon selection by the scientific committee, abstracts may be presented orally (platform) or in the poster format at theconference. There will also be breakout sessions.

-Classic: Eight platform presentations of eight minutes, followed by three minutes for questions in each presentation.

-Rapid 5: A platform presentation session of 10 abstracts, each delivering key messages using no morethan five slides in five minutes (5 x 5), with moderateddiscussion times.

-Poster presentation: Traditional printed posters which will be available to view in the exhibition halland presenters will be given a short presentation slotfor questions.

Submissions are also welcomed for plenary and pre-conference proposals from interested individuals. This year’s scientific conference will be very educating, significant and top level. 

Abstracts Format 
All abstracts must be submitted in English and must be structured as follows;

-Title of paper

-Name and institutional affiliation of authors

-Name, e-mail address, and phone number of the presenting author.

-The abstract should contain brief background, aims,methods, results, conclusion, keywords (3-5). 

The abstract should not exceed 300 words. Abstracts are welcomed in all specialty areas of physiotherapy. However, priority will be given to abstracts that fit into the theme or sub-themes of the conference. A person may only present a maximum of three abstracts. 

The abstract should be prepared as a Microsoft word file (attachment), time New Romans 12 with double spacing. Abstracts should be submitted to nspeducationcommittee@gmail.com. The deadline for submission is July 31st, 2022.

Letter of acceptance of abstract will be sent to presenters by 15th September, 2022.

Presenters of all accepted abstracts MUST submit PowerPoint of their presentation by 30th September 2021. Any presenter who fails to submit his PowerPoint presentation may not be allowed to present during the conference and certificate of presentation will not be issued to such individual.

Plenary and pre-conference workshop 
Proposals are welcome from experts and specialists in all areas of physiotherapy to present in plenary sessions and in the pre-conference workshops. The proposal should be aimed at providing participants with practical knowledge on how to be well-grounded in different aspects of physiotherapy. All proposals should be submitted to nspeducationcommittee@gmail.com by 15th August 2022. 

All proposals must contain the following information:

-Presenter’s details (Qualification) and contact information.

-Title of presentation

-Author(s) information (names and address).

-Required hours.

-Rationale/significance.

-Learning objectives.

-Description of the presentation.

-Equipment needs.

-Font type and size: Time New Romans, size 12 with double spacing.
