World Health Organization Appoints Doctor Nina

We proudly bring to your notice, the appointment of our amiable president Dr Chigbo Nnenna Nina, PT, MPH, HHHF, MNSP to the World Health Organization(WHO)-Package of Intervention for Rehabilitation(PIR) Committee. She was appointed to the WHO PIR Committee on the recommendation of World Physiotherapy(WPT) via her subgroup on HIV/AIDS, Oncology, Hospice & Palliative care. This development is one of the key activities within the WHO's " Rehabilitation 2030 - ”A call for action" Initiative, targeting Universal Health Coverage

Dr Chigbo alongside other experts will be providing evidence - based guidance on rehabilitation practises in Oncology and to support countries in integrating rehabilitation into their health systems.

Dr Chigbo is an Emory Humphrey Fellow ( Global Health) USA, Education Director WPT IPT-HOPE and the immediate past Chairman of NSP-HOPE.

She equally heads the Exercise Immunology/Palliative care unit in the Physiotherapy department, University of Nigeria Teaching hospital, Enugu.
